A Family Tradition of Flavor
In 1972 Carlos aka "Charlie" and Mary Garcia, purchased the restaurant with their life savings and moved their family into the modest living quarters behind the kitchen.
Today, El Chaparral is recognized as a landmark for savory Tex-Mex Cuisine.
Sadly, Mary passed away in 2022, Charlie can still be seen daily, his commitment to service has never wavered. "I still have to come by and say Hi to my customers" he says.
